The branded member app is a $75 to $599 add-on almost everywhere

A member app with your studio’s name and icon is the feature owners describe as the one members notice. It is also the feature most platforms sell separately.

What it costs elsewhere

Mindbody’s branded app runs about $75 to $300 a month and is only bundled at the top tier (FitBudd). Glofox puts the branded app on its Plus plan at roughly $199 a month, with the base plan starting near $99 (Vibefam). Across the platforms we compared in July 2026, the range for a branded app was $75 to $599 a month on top of the base subscription.

Why it is priced this way

Native app-store apps cost the vendor real money: a build per studio, review cycles, and updates that have to ship through Apple and Google. The add-on price reflects that cost model. It also creates a tier, and tiers are how per-studio revenue grows without adding studios.

What changes when it is a web app

Frontmat’s member app is installed from the browser in two taps and lands on the home screen with your icon and colors. There is no app store, so there is no per-studio build and nothing to price separately. It ships inside the $99. The tradeoff is real: a web app cannot do everything a native app can. For booking, credits, waitlists, and badges, it does not need to.

How to compare

When a vendor quotes a base price, ask what tier the branded app sits on and add it to the month-twelve number. Then ask whether the app is native or web, and what that means for how fast fixes reach your members.
