Momence after two acquisitions: the 3.9% and what to ask

Momence comes up in almost every studio-software thread, usually as the modern alternative to Mindbody. Two things changed while that reputation formed. It was acquired by Clubessential Holdings in January 2025 and folded into Xplor Technologies in March 2026, and its pricing was rebuilt around transaction fees.

The plans

Per StudioStackTools and Vibefam’s 2026 breakdown: Basic is free with a 5% Momence fee on sales, Pro is $60 a month with a 2.5% fee, and Custom is $199 a month with no Momence fee. The subscription looks small because the platform is paid through your revenue instead.

The processing rate

Processing moved to a provider called Odin at 3.9% plus 30 cents per transaction (Vibefam review). Against Stripe’s published 2.9% plus 30 cents, that is a full point on every sale. On $10,000 a month of packs and memberships, the point is $100 a month, before any platform fee.

What owners report after the acquisitions

In studio threads, the recurring complaint is support: more automated replies, several reps in one thread, and an exit that required manually cancelling members’ recurring subscriptions one by one. Public review sites put service around 3.7 of 5 (StudioStackTools). None of that means Momence is a bad choice. It means the questions to ask have changed.
