Why the front row fills a 6am class
Ask an owner which class is hardest to fill and the answer is usually the early one. Ask what fills it and the answer is rarely a discount. It is the front row.
Capacity is the equipment, not the room
Most booking systems count heads. A reformer studio does not have twelve heads of capacity; it has twelve reformers, and members care which one. Frontmat’s capacity is your actual floor plan. Every booking holds a specific reformer, bike, or mat, and the roster shows who is on which. When a spot is blocked for a repair, it is blocked for that class only, and the count changes with it.
The favorite spot comes up first
Whichever spot a member took last time is offered first the next time. Booking takes about four seconds on a phone: open the class, the spot is already selected, confirm. That speed is the whole point. It removes the small friction that turns “I should book the 6am” into “I’ll book it later.”

When members can see the front row filling, they book earlier to keep their spot. That pulls bookings forward in the week, which is what an early class needs: commitment before the alarm goes off, not a decision at 5:40.
What the front desk sees
The roster is the floor plan with names on it. Check-ins and no-shows are marked per spot, and after the class ends the home screen nags about anyone left unmarked until it is done. Attendance stays accurate because it cannot drift quietly.
